What is Sold Out After Crisis?

Damian Campbell is a survival expert who has spent years studying survival topics such as long-term food storage, water purification techniques, alternative sources of power, emergency medicine, and backyard gardening.

When he began writing this guide, he started by creating a list of foods to stock up on. The problem was that list was pretty long, and some of the foods were difficult to store. In the interest of keeping his guide as simple as possible, he narrowed the last down to 37 vital food items that everyone purchase now before it’s too late. To learn more, watch the video below:

Sadly, the average American has no idea how bad things really are. The media would like to pretend everything is okay, but in reality, we are facing more danger now than we have in decades. Farmers are running out of acreage, old sources of drinking water are drying up, terrorists are more common than ever, and deficit spending is draining our economy and could easily lead to hyperinflation.

That’s why it’s so important to be prepared. If you wait until the crisis is at your doorstep, it will be too late because by then, the public will have emptied the stores. A lot of people don’t know this, but grocery stores only keep 3-4 days worth of food on hand. And when disasters strike, that food is gone in just 3-4 hours! It’s happened many times before.

Ask Yourself These Questions:

  • If there is a crisis in your area that closes all the stores, how long will you and your family be able to stay at home before you have to venture out in search of food? Remember, even if there is food out there, you’ll want to stay inside to avoid the mobs and looters.
  • Everyone needs at least two liters of water a day. Without water, you would die in just 1 week. If a nuclear disaster or a terrorist attack contaminates the water supply, how long will your drinking water last?
  • If energy becomes so scarce that there are rolling blackouts or worse, how will you store cold food, cook meals, heat your home, light your home, or run your air conditioner?
  • Do you really believe the government or even well-meaning local groups such as churches will actually be able to help everyone? Just by looking at a few examples from history like hurricane Katrina, you’ll find out otherwise.

japan refugees 300x200In most disasters, people end up having no choice but to become government refugees. I can assure you, that is that LAST thing you want. Most governments are not equipped to deal with all the people that need help. People are crammed like cattle into gymnasiums and oftentimes there is not enough food to go around. For example, after the tsunami in Tohoku, Japan, hundreds of thousands of people went to government refugee camps where several died. Do you think a FEMA camp will be any better?

Of course, you could run to the store now and buy rice, beans, and canned foods, but consider the nutritional value of typical “survival foods.” If you have to live off of your food supply for weeks and aren’t getting proper nutrition, you’re liable to feel tired, get sick, or develop some other disorder, and that’s the last thing you want in a survival scenario. Even after the SHTF, you want to make sure you’re getting a well-balanced diet, and that’s what makes Damian’s list of 37 food items so great. You get all the ingredients necessary for delicious and healthy meals.

Don’t think that I’m going to suggest MRE’s or anything like that. Those aren’t even on the list because honestly, they’re not all that healthy. Besides, they’re WAY too expensive for the average person. The good news is that it’s possible to stock up on food without emptying your savings account.

Here’s What You Need To Know:

  • The most important food item you can buy and what makes it so crucial.
  • How to store your food so that it will last for years.
  • Where to store your food so burglars won’t find it.
  • How to make sure your storage food is safe to eat.
  • A certain alcohol everyone should have on hand, even if you never drink.

Some people might think it’s crazy to be so prepared. survivalist 227x300To me, it’s crazy not to be prepared! Considering how dangerous the world has become over the last ten years and the fact that our government is spending us into oblivion and is no longer properly equipped to even deal with natural disasters, it’s nuts not to be prepared for the worst. Besides, as long as you regularly rotate your food, nothing will go to waste.

And believe it or not, I’m an optimist! I believe that whatever crisis comes our way, the country will get through it one way or another. And if you’re one of the survivors, you’ll be here to help rebuild our nation, be a community leader, and set an example for the next generation. Disasters Happen All The Time

disaster strikes newspaperDisasters happen all the time, and a big one is about to hit the United States. The economy is so fragile that if it doesn’t collapse on its own, a major disaster could trigger its collapse. It’s more important than ever that we get prepared because when the utilities are down and the grocery stores are being ransacked by looters, it will be too late.

If you don’t want to compete with panicked crowds for whatever you can grab, you need to stock up ahead of time. The Sold Out After Crisis guide tells you which items will disappear from grocery store shelves first. It also tells you how to smell a major disaster coming so that you can get to your safe location and lock down your supplies in time.

The famous 37 food items list was created by Damien Campbell, a long-time survival expert. He maintains that a disaster of epic proportions is in the works. Even if your area is never hit by a typical crisis like an earthquake, hurricane, or terrorist attack, no one will be able to escape the latest economic bubble. Thanks to endless corruption and overspending by the government, our infrastructure is weaker than ever before. It’s getting so bad that even a small disaster could force you to go weeks without access to food, water and power.

Think about this: If the shit hits the fan in your town, would you be able to survive at home or at your bug out location? For how long? A week? A month? Will you end up begging neighbors for food or going to a FEMA camp where you’ll be treated like cattle? Sadly, most Americans don’t bother to prepare for anything. They’ve had it so easy that they just assume everything will be all right. But like I said before, disasters happen all the time.

tohoku disaster

Remember the Tohoku Tsunami in Japan in 2011? Over 300,000 people were forced into government camps where many of them died. Then there’s the 2010 Haitian earthquake which was followed by the Chilean earthquake where over 300,000 people died. Today, those countries are still picking up the pieces.

And don’t forget the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004 that killed over 230,000 people. Can you imagine a disaster like that happening in America? Just look at what a terrible job FEMA did after hurricane Katrina in 2005. Looters ran wild and people went days without food and water. If the US government can’t handle a disaster like that, how will they handle the coming economic disaster?

The truth is, they won’t be able to handle it. You are on your own, and if you’re not prepared, you need to start getting prepared right away. Check out Damien Campbell’s presentation to learn how.

Sold Out After Price Controls

A few weeks ago I had a friendly argument with a coworker about price controls. I was telling him about the Sold Out After Crisis guide, and he wanted to know, “What crisis?” Of course, there are any number of things that can happen that would cause critical items to be sold out, but I gave him the example of hyperinflation. If prices are skyrocketing everyday, people will spend all the money they have the the grocery stores will run out of food. His response: “That will never happen. The government would just impose price controls.” This is another example of someone who just trusts in almighty government to save him. The truth is that price controls would also cause food shortages.

I don’t blame him for not understanding this. I didn’t pay attention in economics 101, either. But with the threat of economic collapse just around the corner, I’ve done some studying just to make sure I understand what’s going on. And one thing I’ve learned: price controls always lead to shortages. If the price ceiling is beneath the equilibrium curve, there will be less suppliers willing to satisfy demand.

In layman’s terms, if food companies can’t sell food for a profit, they’re not going to make food. And frankly, I don’t blame them. Maybe the government could force them to keep making food, but that means turning employees of food manufacturers into virtual slaves. Imagine the waste, inefficiencies, and poor quality when there is no profit motive.

The government is not all-powerful. The only power they have is the ability to force people to do what they want at the point of a gun. But they cannot change the laws of economics. If there is hyperinflation (which seems more likely than ever, now that QE3 is in effect), food will be sold out. If there are price controls, there will be shortages and food will be sold out. If you want to learn more, here is a very detailed explanation of price controls. There are plenty of examples of this phenomenon.

If you want to learn more, Damien Campbell has a great video about this subject.
